This image was published in the Fort Bragg Advocate News last month. I enjoy covering action events, there is always something to capture that the naked eye might not see or that the memory might not retain.
The best part as a photographer is we get to see stuff twice and everything is still new, because the mirror blocks our view of what we are taking a picture of. We hone our craft to take the photo when we expect the best action to happen, not when we see it happen. We don’t get to see it until later.
